My Halloween Costume

Hi! I'm sooooo sorry that I haven't blogged since Easter. I've been very busy, even in the summer. A lot of time has elapsed since Easter and Halloween and something awesome happened. I moved from Las Vegas to a town outside Chicago. I've been having a lot of fun and I have lots of new friends. I will have to post pictures of my amazing backyard and the animals we see. So any ways, it's time to answer the question everyone has been asking... What were you for Halloween? The answer: A disco zombie. (I was inspired by a video game)

This costume was not store bought, we used our imagination and threw it together. First we went to the thrift store and got the clothes for my costume. We chose a red silk shirt, bell bottom white pants, and a vest with gold buttons. The thrift store is great with its hidden treasures. At Target we bought a clearance Shaun White belt which added extra flare to the costume. Finally, at Walmart we bought an afro wig. We kept my shoes the same. At Walgreens we bought vampire makeup that was runny and didn't do that well but we managed. Since the clothes were too big, we cut them, zombies are ragged aren't they?

By the way, the shiny gold "disco" necklace was from Party City.

I'm feeling groovy!

Remember, keep fired up!

p.s. Here's a picture of my brother as lil' Frankenstein.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Again I apologize for my absence in the blogging world, but homework is keeping me up until 8:00 p.m.! So I'm glad that I got the whole week off for spring break! So since I was gone for so long and I know you were crying everyday saying, "Where, oh where art thou Grant!" I decided to post for you and yes I am rather full of myself. This is how I have spent my Easter so far...

We had our very own Easter egg hunt! Since, we were away on vacation during spring break, (don't worry I will tell you about that in another post) we missed all the Easter egg hunts in town, so we had our own. Here I am picking up some eggs.

It was my baby brother Levi's first Easter egg hunt. You can see me crouching like a stalker in the shadows!

There was one golden egg to high for Levi to reach and I found it! You can also see my new haircut!

This was the result of out Easter egg hunt. Levi is rolling his eyes and thinking, "My brother's smiling like he is a model pul-ease!"

This is Levi discovering that there is candy inside the eggs.

"Wait, so there is candy in all these eggs!"

Easter egg hunting fun!
Is this picture being used to show off my haircut?
Yes, yes it is.

Now it's time to dump out all the eggs and have some candy!
 Keep fired up!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. School has tied me down and I've had so much homework. Anyways, love is in the air and at my school you wouldn't believe how many kids got flowers, chocolates, and teddy bears. Oh us silly middle schooler's. My dad who is out of town on business sent out flowers for my mom. There's no better love, than old people love :). Anyways, this is my Valentine's day...
My family sometimes does a scavenger hunt where we get a clue; for example, look behind the big black box. When I went and looked behind the T.V there was another clue and so on. Eventually, we find some candy... Why am I talking so formally, eventually? and so on?  School has worked big smart words into my brain! Here's a picture of my brother and I finding our treasure.

I look so weird in this one and my brother seems to be liking his candy.

This is my Valentine, a maple bacon cupcake. Isn't she pretty! They combined two of my favorite things, bacon and cupcakes. Believe it or not it's pretty good. Along with that I have a chocolate fountain cupcake and a red velvet one. Yummy! Hope you have a happy Valentine's day. Keep fired up! A Hunka Hunka Burning Love!

Spaghetti Tacos

I know what you're thinking, spaghetti tacos, oh no the kid's at it again! I was watching a show called iCarly and the guy holding the teenage girl made spaghetti tacos. So when we had both taco shells and spaghetti I made spaghetti tacos. This is my spaghetti filled adventure.

Ok, first my smile is creeping me out, second I will tell you the secret recipe. Get a taco shell, spaghetti noodles, and some sauce. Now this part is really hard. Put the spaghetti in the taco shell and not too fast not to slow plop 'em in there.

On the show they said,"Noodles can be happy in a shell."
I think we should put that on our money.
Slurp the noodles up.
I recommend you try them.
In the mean time keep fired up, but don't burn the noodles.

Weird Costumes

Hey guys, I found some weird costumes. So here they are...... on the first Grant's Fired Up fashion show. Starting with this costume I thought you ate this? No, dressed up in it. Yum!

Alright I'm disturbed by this one.

Hey somebody shrunk Bill Murray! I know this is an 80's movie but I love it.

Some people never grow up. I used to always call all the Tellitubbies Po. Sigh the good old days when you didn't have to rush around to classes at your school.

Two things, 1) I am tempted to push him off because that is the evil person I am. 2) It almost looks like he's wearing a diaper.

Now this must be nice you can just go when you need to.  ;)
Ok so he wants me to be afraid of him and wants me to fight him. I guess I will,  so I picked him up, dipped him in some milk and well, I don't want to describe the violent parts. I know your question, what are you gonna be for Halloween? The answer is a zombie and my baby brother is a pirate. So this is Grant telling you to keep fired up!

A Special Tree

Hi everyone! I went to St.George, Utah recently and I saw this really cool tree. Now I know what you are thinking; kids these days, it's just a tree, what are they teaching these kids in school? But for some reason I really liked this tree and was attached to it. I decided Iwould share it with you.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forward with peace: the mountains and hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 57:17

Job 33:28, He redeemed my soul from the pit, and I will live to enjoy the light.
